A Fundraiser Luncheon to assist in honoring our Wounded Warriors and their spouses was held at the Von Braun Center on Wednesday October 19th in conjunction with the 5th Annual “Heroes’ Week”.

Huntsville was honored to host former National Security Advisor and Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Jim Jones, USMC [Ret].  General Jones addressed the topic of “Contemporary National Security Issues of the United States”. The event was hosted by the Semper Fi Community Task Force [SFCTF] and serves as its primary fundraiser in supporting SFCTF’s mission of recognizing and providing assistance to Wounded Warriors and their families throughout the year.

During  the “Heroes’ Week”, as an expression of this community’s gratitude and appreciation for their extraordinary service, a group of Wounded Warriors and their spouses from our nation’s military services is invited to Huntsville to participate in a series of community, civic and social activities in conjunction with Veterans Day.
