The monthly Coffee Call sponsors and
the Board of Directors of the Alabama Veterans Museum enjoyed
their annual Christmas lunch after their December 20th Board
meeting. Col Mel McLemore, US Army (Ret) sponsors the Christmas
luncheon each year to show his appreciation for the wonderful
job and hard work the board does in keeping the museum as a
vital part of our community.
Museum board member Bob McAbee, prepared the delicious meal for
the 30 member board, sponsors and many guest. The Veterans Museum has
seen greater activity this year than in years past with over
6,180 visitors who signed the guest register.
From 19th of December, – 7th of January
come to the Museum and play “Spot the History” and enter for a
chance to win a $50.00 savings bond! Children ages 6-12 are
eligible, sponsored by Al Martin, US Army Retired & the American
Veterans (AMVETS) Post 21, Athens.
