It was reminiscent of a street party at the Ardmore Alabama Welcome Center on Thursday, May 19th, actually it was Alabama Tourism Day!

Some of those in attendance were dressed in Civil War and Revolutionary time attire to commemorate the 150th year of the Civil War. The volunteers and business owners/managers gave out free Pepsi products, Blue Belle ice cream and goat cheese. Tasty Pig was handing out coupons for Lawler's Bar B Q and Chick Fil A Cow was handing out coupons too... and dancing!

The seniors from the Madison AL. Senior Center entertained the guests with music and line dancing.

The Space and Rocket Center had information on their new exhibit this summer, Sue! Sue is the largest, most complete, and best preserved Tyrannosaurus-Rex fossil yet discovered. Space Camp was also available with t-shirts and information on this year's camp.

Everyone who stopped was surprised and seemed glad to see us. Some of the visitors who came up on the festivities said, "Do you all do this everyday?" Yes, everyday in Alabama is a party!!
