Sue Edgemon's fight against cancer
How you can help Sue!
  05/10/20100 The
staff at Salon Le Jules will continue to raise money to help off set the
medical expenses Sue will be incurring that are not covered by her medical
insurance by delivering a uniquely decorated toilet to your yard. For a
minimum donation of $15, we will be happy to remove this unique toilet from
your yard and deliver to your friend's yard for you. (Photos of this toilet
can be found on the "Fun-Raising Photos" page on this site.) We just need
your donation of at least $15 and your friend's address!

Email from Sue's sister Judy December 16th 2010
Sue just returned from Houston last week and except for 2 small areas that
are stable, she is in remission. They took her off of the avaston and chemo.
She will be taking a drug for 3 to 4 months if her body can tolerate it. The
Burzynski Clinic believes this will take care of the rest in those small
areas. She has to have her liver enzymes checked regularly because of the
side affects of the drug.
She will continue with the PB Drug, Amino Acids and her Juice Plus+. The
nutrition has played a large part in Sue's recovery as well as her faith and
attitude.
Thanks for all the Prayers,
Be Blessed this Christmas Season, our family certainly has already!
November 15th from Sue's sister Judy!
Sue is doing much much better after 5 1/2 months since
traveling to Houston where she met with 4 doctors at the Burzynski Clinic.
Her last PET Scan showed improvement and the over-expressed gene they tested
in Houston was back to normal. We are very optimistic about her recovery
from this cancer.
She gets another PET Scan on the 23rd of this month.
The chances
sold on the AL quilt are $10. each and most people are coming by Salon
Le'Jules to see the quilt and purchase tickets. We also have some great
books for sale. They are $5.00 or 5 for $20. Sue's monthly meds and fees
from Houston are over $4,000. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks
for all the help everyone has done thus far.

Hello to all,
Well it has been almost 3 months since we took Sue to Houston. She goes back
on the 30th of this month with new tests done on her genes as well as a pet
scan she will take with her to Houston. Sue is a trouper and trying very
hard with support and prayers from her friends and Church family to get
through this ordeal once again to beat the cancer. She is in a fight for her
life and doing a good job.
We still need your prayers and any donations would be very much appreciated.
The medical expenses are very extensive and Sue's insurance is not paying
for all. Sue's husband Bill and sister Pat will be taking her back to
Houston on the 30th, but hopefully won't have to stay as long as before.
Please keep her in your prayers as she travels back to Houston.
Thanks again for all your prayers and Blessings,
Sue's Dedication to her Grandson, Grayson!
07/11/2010
Well, as you all know, I am sure, Sue loves her family; especially her
Grandson, Grayson! Sue was doing and feeling great and ad missed so many of
Grayson's ballgames and was anxious to get out to watch him play ball. After
a long ride to the game, then 2 games, and a long ride back home, she over
did it!
She was having some pretty severe pain in her back, making it hard for her
to even walk. She met with her Doctor, who gave her a muscle relaxer to help
calm the pains she was having. Continue to keep Sue lifted in prayer and
when you see her remind her to slow down!
06/18/20101
Well today Sue gets her first treatment in AL by an
Oncologist that is working with the Burzynski Clinic. Please keep her in
your prayers. Thanks for all you are doing.

06/03/2010 Coming Home
We're bringing Sue home, stopped half way last night in , MS
about midnight. Sue has lots more treatments to be
administered by her oncologist in AL. Still in good spirts
and being the trooper she has always been. My sister is a
fighter and the Dr.'s in Houston are very optimistic about
her recovery. Please keep praying! May God Bless each and
every one of you
Our 12th Day in Houston 06/02/2010
If all goes well, we see Sue's Doctors one more time at
10:00 am. Sue has done remarkable so far on all the meds.
No one can believe her age and she looks younger than any
patient we have met other than the children.
Sue is ready to come home and feels very hopeful with what
the Dr.'s are doing. This clinic is one of the best and Sue
believes this is where she needed to be.
We will be traveling home today, Wednesday, June 2nd after
her appt. this morning. She will be given her prescriptions
to bring home, will be working with the oncologist in
Huntsville
to take care of Sue along with the Dr.'s monitoring from
here in Houston. On behalf of Sue and her family, we
appreciate all the hard work everyone is doing, especially
all the prayers, everyone has been very supportive and this
is what we needed. We shared the article of Sue
in newspaper with the secretary for Dr. Burzynski, the one
with the Texas Toilet, she laughed and wanted to make a
copy of it, so I just gave it to her.
Looking forward to coming home!
Post Title. 05/30/2010
Sue Edgemon is at The Burzynski Clinic in Houston Texas.
This week she has undergone an unbelievable amount of tests
and scans as well as a tremendous amount of mental pressure
wondering if the cancer had spread elsewhere in her body and
if they would be able to treat her out there, Today she met
with the Dr's again and they told her that she had a little
more activity than she had in her last scan (here in
Alabama) but the Cancer had not spread anywhere else
(Praises to God for this). They told her that she has stage
four BREAST cancer that originated from a sleeping cell from
her Breast Cancer twenty seven years ago and metastasized
and settled in her bones, thus they will treat her for
Breast cancer. Today at four p.m. she started taking
medication. She is on a very low dose to start with and they
will monitor her and see how she is tolerating it. She will
go back to the clinic in the morning, again on Sunday, and
so on and they will increase the medication as they see how
she is coming along. We are praying that she will do well
and if she does she, Judy and Pat will get to come home
before next weekend,
The only thing that her insurance has approved so far is the
scans which they did all day Tuesday and part of Wednesday,
the cost for the clinic itself is not covered by insurance,
therefore we can understand that Sue and her family have a
tremendous expense in front of them.
Sue's Treatments 05/28/2010
Well Sue has started her meds, 4 different ones, however the
cancer had not gone anywhere else, a little more activity in
the sacrum, SI Joint and only one spot in her 2nd rib on the
right side, nothing in the left rib. She will be taking 2
diff drugs to starve the cancer cells, one is an IV every 2
weeks, also a very mild pill of chemo. Two of these drugs
target only the cancer cells and starve them. Sue is in
pretty good spirits and if she tolerates the medicine, we
will get to come home on Wed. We see the Dr. Sat. and Sun.
and possibly on Monday also. They have to monitor her after
starting all of the medicine. Please pray for NO side
effects! We are still trying to grasp all of this with
notes on top of notes, sometimes very confusing, but these
Doctors are on top of everything and Sue trusts them 100%.
God Bless all of you,
Sue & Family
Treatment 05/27/2010
Sue's Treatment will begin tomorrow. She will be seeing all
4 Dr.'s and find out about her Gene Therapy and
medications. Pray that the scans done will report good
news. We are praying she will be able to tolerate the first
meds and can come home soon with prescriptions and her PB
which was formulated by Dr. Burzynski. I have never seen
such happy people coming through this clinic that had 4th
stage cancer, some in the brain and others all different.
The children Dr. B has helped has been very touching and to
watch the parents with humble gratitude is over-whelming.
We are so looking forward to seeing great results for Sue
also. Thanks for all the support! God Bless each of you.
Sue and Family
05/27/20100 Sue has appt. with Dr. at 10:30 today. Will find out results of
scans and hopefully the blood work. Thanks to everyone again for all the
prayers and support.
05/25/20100 Sue had Pet Scan, MRI today. Very tired! Will hear
tomorrow if the cancer is on her left side. Still in a wheel chair, but in
good spirits. Hope to have some of the blood work back tomorrow so the
medications can begin. Please continue to pray for Sue. She will also have a
Echo Cardiogram tomorrow, this is a must before the medications can begin.
Not sure about the spelling. Thanks for all the prayers and contributions.
Everyone is so appreciated!
All Day at Burzynski Clinic

All Day at Burzynski Clinic
05/24/20100 Sue had 4 Dr.'s talking to her and one of which was the Senior

Lots of blood work was done and more scans tomorrow since her left hip is
still hurting. We even met a couple from Monrovia (Hunts.) The lady came
here last Dec. with one of the worst cancers. Her Pet Scan shows she is
cured from Cancer, Praise God! Will keep you posted. Keep Praying

Candle Light Celebration May 21st, 2010 at Sun Down!
05/12/20100 Comment On May 22nd at sundown you are cordially invited to join
Sue and all of her friends and family in the Salon Le Jules parking lot for
a Candle Light Celebration and prayer circle. Please bring your own candles
to light and hold while we lift Sue's spirits and circle her with love,
light and prayer! Love offerings will graciously be accepted as Sue, Judy
and Pat will be leaving on the 22nd for Houston, TX for the Burzynski Clinic
to begin her new course of treatments.
Currently, Sue is in great spirits. She still has days with pain, but that
just has been the scenario since we found out her Cancer was back. Sue
appreciates everyone's love and help more than mere words can express and
she thanks all of you from the bottom of her heart!
