Kids Day at Storytelling
Today was the
school children's day to attend the 5th annual Athens
Storytelling Festival, which is being held under a circus tent
on Marion Street on the square.
Roughly 3,000
Limestone County, Athens City and local private school students
attended for free Wednesday and about 3,000 more will attend
Thursday morning.
The event opens to
the public Thursday night with a tribute to Alabama's own
Kathryn Tucker Windham, who died earlier this year. The festival
continues Friday and Saturday.
