The
Council on Aging’s First Annual
Senior Prom
There were NO WALL-FLOWERS at this dance!
Athens Senior Center presented their first "Senior Prom" Thursday afternoon at the Limestone County Event Center. The guest assembled at the Senior Center and was treated to a limousine ride to the Event Center by Kirk Parker of Affordable Elegance in Athens.
The Event Center was transformed into a magnificent ballroom with refreshments, music and lots of dancing. Each guest received a corsages or boutonnière to wear and left with an exciting and fun memory of their day plus a big smile.
AthensPlus attempted to take photos of all those who attended, however, with so many moving and grooving, we may have missed one or two. Nonetheless, everyone seemed to be having a great time and was looking forward to next year's Prom.
Emily Haney, Director of the Senior Center (Council on Aging), was so pleased with the 80-90 people who attended the event and plans to have another next year.
