hope to take a different walk offered by the Chamber.

The Greater Limestone
County Chamber of Commerce announces its June Historic
Walking Tours to be held each Saturday in June (June 4, 11,
18, & 25). Walkers will meet at the Athens Visitors Center
meeting room (located on at the corner of Beaty and Market
Streets by the duck pond) at 9:45 AM. The walks will begin
promptly at 10:00 AM and will last approximately one hour.
“This year we are offering four different walks,” states
Jeanette Dunnavant, Athens-Limestone County Tourism
Director. “Walkers may choose a different walk each
Saturday. The walks are free and open to the public. It’s a
great way for children to learn about local history. Groups
are welcome.”
Experience the culture and history of Athens by taking one
of the walks.
