The ribbon cutting ceremony for Knology held on Thursday at
the Athens Visitor Center, was when
PCL officially became Knology for Limestone County. Knology is also
currently serving Madison and Morgan counties as their phone,
internet and cable provider.
Knology general manager, Jerry Strasser, addressed the Athens
guest by saying, “we appreciate the opportunity to serve this
community, to add Athens to our family of communities, and to
grow with you. He continued by saying, “I really like Athens and
all our interactions with the people here have been very
friendly and they have been so nice!
Strasser elaborated, “Our company is based on technology and
on customer service - we had a tough transition here, and
we are committed to making it right & living up to our standard
of customer service.” He expressed he hopes they can win back
any folks they may have alienated in the transition process.
Knology provides telephone, cable TV and Internet services. They
are located at 310 South Houston Street (in the former PCL
building) in Athens, phone 256-232-4009 or
