County Family Resource Center’s “Parents as Teachers”
program is hosting a group meeting on Thursday, May 20,
2010. The program offers free home-based parenting
instruction for any family with children up to the age
of 5 years.
In addition to this
service, “Parents as Teachers” hosts group meetings for
parents on a variety of topics every other month.
Program Coordinator Stephanie Smith would like to invite
Limestone County parents the May 2010 group meeting with
special guest speakers Rebekah Davis and Rachel Petty.
Smith explains that
“Rebekah and Rachel have an amazing website all about
couponing, stretching your money, and basically making
smart financial decisions for you and your family.”
Rebekah and Rachel, also known as the “Two Thrifty
Sisters,” host a couponing blog at
www.twothriftysisters.com. They will be speaking at
the Family Resource Center to educate parents about
stretching their dollars.
Smith goes on to say
“This is a great opportunity for families to fellowship
with one another and learn something new. It will be a
very fun day with snacks, door prizes, and free
childcare so we hope to have a lot of participation.”
The Family Resource
Center asks that attendees bring one baby item for their
“Baby Bucks Boutique” to offset the cost of admission.
The meeting will be May 20 from 2 to 4 pm at 406 S.
Jefferson St. (right next to Dub’s Burgers.)
