Hosted by the Athens-Limestone
County Family Resource Center and the Sarrell Regional Dental
Center, Family Fun Day! is dedicated to the mission of helping
children and their families grow and strengthen!
During the event, parents were able to enjoy participating with
their children and friends in sporting activities, games, food,
door prizes, dancing & sports exhibitions, and entertainment.
Parents were also encouraged to obtain information on local
social service agencies that are there to share information and
help parents to strengthen their families now and into the
future!
With two FAMILY AND CHILDREN’S RESOURCES pavilions, there was
information for families to find and take with them about local
programs and services. There were fun games, balloons and inflatables for the children.
Those who donated can goods to LCCI (Limestone County Churches
Involved) received a ticket for a free hot-dog
and popcorn. Other refreshments were available at a small fee.
Performances and many wonderful door prizes from local merchants were also
given at the end of the evening.
