Roy and Helenita Thomas of the new Dollar Mart held their Grand
Opening on Saturday June 25th and served hot dogs and cold
drinks to their customers.
Roy and Helenita opened Dollar Mart on June 3rd at the Town
Center Shopping Plaza between Goody's and Jody's Optical. They
are independently owned and operated and live in Athens.
Stop in and meet the Thomas' they have lots of merchandise to
choose from, 80% of their items are $1.00 or less. Their
merchandise is well organized, clean and they stock
gift bags, kitchen supplies, hair care items, small tools, pet
care items, glass ware, plastic ware, frames, reading glasses,
pocket-size over the counter medicine, soft drinks, some food
items and much more you will just need to see! Lots of merchandise
will change each week as they
receive their shipments.
Roy is a retired engineer for a power company.
He met his wife, Helenita, before he retried during his travels in the
Philippines. Roy has one son Roy Thomas III who is currently
stationed at Ft. Stewart in Savannah, Georgia. Visiting for the
summer, Roy and Helenita have their 3 grandchildren Tyler, Ian and
Alex.
