Constitution Week
Program
Regent of JWK, Doris
Estes, welcomed everyone to the program sponsored by the John
Wade Keyes Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution
in celebration of Constitution Week, which is Sept. 18-24
The colors were presented
by local Boy Scout Troup 240, the Pledge of Allegiance was lead
by House of Representative Dan Williams.
Attending the celebrations
and signing the proclamations Mayor Ronnie Marks, County
Commissioner Stanley Menefee, Athens Council woman Mignon
Bowers, Athens Commissioner Bill Latimer, Congressman Mo Brooks,
State Senator Bill Holtzclaw and State Senator Arthur Orr.
The Prayer for our Country
was given by JWK Chaplain, Peggy King, “God Bless America” was
lead by Gwen Bacon, and the Ringing of Bells led by Rita Majors
and assisted by Riley and Harris Anderson.
