The Alabama Veterans Museum showed it's appreciation to the
2010 Coffee Call Sponsors by inviting them all to dinner
prepared by Bob McAbee. These sponsors each paid for one
month's breakfast for the 100 -180 guest who attended the
monthly Coffees during 2010.
Coffee Call first began as the idea of Sergeant Major Bill
Duncan, after the museum had it's dedication in November
2002. The first Saturday of each month, Bob Smaltz prepares
each Coffee with biscuits and gravy, sausage biscuits, ham
or bologna biscuits, sweet roll and doughnuts, fruit, juice
and lots of coffee. All Veterans and their families are
encouraged to attend and enjoy the camaraderie of their
peers at no charge.
Coffee Call is held in the Powers Room of the Alabama
Veterans Museum the first Saturday of each month from
8:AM-9:AM. The Bob McAbee Exhibit Hall is always open for
the guest to view the displays and the new items received.
