December's Coffee Call
was sponsored by Paul and Susan Neely. Paul and Susan have
been supporters of the Museum for years and recently Paul
has been volunteering at the Museum to help us out.
November at the Museum
had 5 scheduled tours and a couple of groups showed up for
tours unannounced. The Lions Club had their annual dinner
meeting at the Museum with Bob McAbee catering.
Also this month the
Museum saw the Rotary Club, the second grade from Athens
Bible School, students home schooled, Senior Adults from
First Baptist Church, East Limestone Students and a Cub
Scout group from Somerville.
Yvonne Dempsey who
volunteers at the Museum on Wednesday and Vicki Bedingfield
the Museum administrative assistant, were guardians and flew
to Washington DC on the first Valor Flight with a few
hundred veterans from the Korean War.

The
Museum's Christmas Ornaments have arrived - this year's
ornament is reflecting the Civil War, they are available in
Silver or Gold for only $10.
Due to some technical
and logistic problems Margret Mefford author of Journey to
Freedom has been postponed until the January 7th 2012 Coffee
Call.
January's Coffee Call
will be sponsored by the family of Maurice Nichols.
Wishing everyone a
safe and Merry Christmas Season!
