Athens Christmas Parade Sponsored by Reliance Bank
was on Thursday night December 2nd. The
theme is "Inside Santa's Workshop."
Madeline Williams entered the winning
theme & will serve as Honorary Grand Marshal.
The Grand Marshal for this
year's parade is Sheriff Mike Blakely.
This years parade was proud
boast more than 130 entries of floats, bands and cars/trucks.
This year's winners are 'The Friends of Ripley' with their
“Taking Care of Christmas." The animated float displayed a
larger than life Santa, Snowman and Pex dispenser along with
many elves and Santa helpers to win the $1,000 grand prize.
