The Limestone County Event Center was full of supporters
awaiting the swearing in of their new DA for Athens Limestone
County, Brian Christopher Templeman Jones.
With his wife Kandye and daughter Tori standing at his side
Jones took the oath of office from Alabama Supreme Court
Associate Justice Tom Parker in front of an anxious gathering of
well wishers.
Jones was very appreciative to everyone who supported his run
for DA and especially his beautiful wife of only 2 years who put
her life on hold to support his dreams from his youth.
Several Republicans attended the event, Representative
Williams, Senator Holtzclaw, Commissioner Menefee, Mayor Marks,
and many county commissioners were on hand to welcome Jones to
his new position. Judges Robert Baker, James Woodroof, and
Jeanne Anderson attended the event along with council woman
Mignon Bowers, Circuit Court Clerk Charles Page, and Athens
Police Chief Wayne Harper.
Jones repeated his campaign promise to work everyday to make
Athens and Limestone county a safe community for our children
and families.
