A total of 49 boats registered to fish for a
cure. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer
Society and help funds Limestone County cancer
patients with wigs, scarves, transportation and
lodging for medical trips and other needs. The
team still is totaling its various fundraisers,
but it appears the city team raised between
$12,000 and $13,000 this Relay for Life
campaign. More than $6,000 of that was raised
because of Saturday's fishing tournament.
