Celebration for AL National Guard 203rd Police Battalion

The 70 members of the 203rd returned home June 19th
2010, after completing their operation in Basra to train Iraqi
Police Officers, they were deployed June 21st 2009.
The museum offered refreshments and sandwiches courtesy of local
restaurants, provided games for the kids, a train ride, live band
(Seven Days), face painting and lots of other activities.
A drawing was held for the members of the 203rd of a $300 gift
certificate to the Westin Hotel at Bridge Street, a laptop computer,
a boys and a girls bike, gift card to Walmart, gas gift cards as
well as small game prizes for children.
Whitney Rinehart sang the National anthem and the prayer by Grover
Gardner.
State Sen. Tom Butler welcomed the soldiers home along with
Representative Henry White. Mayor Dan Williams offered the key to
the city and County Commissioner David Seibert gave his support and
offered his assistance to the soldiers.
